Fifteenth-century villa attributed to Sanmicheli or at least to his school, based on a design by Pompei. The architect is also responsible for a complete design of the park in all its parts, drawing conserved in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence.
The interior of the palace features a central hall on the ground floor with a vaulted ceiling, adorned with paintings depicting some members of the Verità family. From the central entrance, one accesses the first floor through a monumental staircase, where a magnificent allegorical fresco by Anselmi can be admired on the ceiling, representing the myth of Phaethon along with personifications of the seasons and time.
The most famous element of the villa is perhaps the park that opens onto the villa: it is located on the north side of the palace, and within it are various works, such as a marble group of Hercules and Antaeus by the fishpond, attributed to Gerolamo Campagna, Roman statues in lunense marble, and also a statue with the heraldic coat of arms of the Verità family. There is also a small lake and caves, which Carlo Montanari linked to those of Palazzo Pitti.
