Solane Santuario Madonna Addolorata
On a hill in the Lessini Mountains we find the Madonna Addolorata Sanctuary of Monte Solane located in a rocky area, characterized by the presence of stone quarries.
The area of Mount Solane has been a place of ancient pagan cults since time immemorial, as evidenced by an ancient altar bearing the inscription "Soli ac Luna".
The origins of the sanctuary date back to 1860 when Gaspare Biondetti, a Venetian, moved to these areas and erected a chapel which quickly became a destination for pilgrims. During the 1900s the Congregation of the Servants of Nazareth implemented the building within a larger complex. The building has stone and a single hall.
Inside the sanctuary we find a collection of ex voto related to the theme of difficult pregnancies, the objects consist of tablets, sheets with inscriptions and various objects.
