This place is renowned for the boiled meat trolley, a traditional dish served since 1930. Three painted signs, existing from early 1900s and recently restored, are placed over the two external facades at the height of the first floor and report the inscriptions RISTORANTE TORCOLO and ALBERGO TORCOLO. Among the decors, two antique pieces of furniture of the early 1900s are worthy of note: once utilized for the restaurant service, they are still employed as cutlery and glasses trays.
Noteworthy is the terrazzo floor in venetian style, from the early 1900s as well, realised in different colours with perimeter decorations. The bottles of wine are conserved at the ground floor, in the small masonry cellar with vaulted brick.
Interesting facts: the eastern façade, above the main entrance, features the inscription “ALBERGO TORCOLO” together with a drawing that recalls the so-called “torcolo”, a tool used for pressing grape’s skins.
Opening year: 1850
