Built in the main square of Negrar di Valpolicella, it is mentioned for the first time in documentation dated 1067.
Of the ancient building, only the Romanesque bell tower in tuff remains. On its southern side, there is the well-known “carta lapidaria”, which was sculpted in 1166 with capital Roman letters detailing a series of contracts releasing the church from making an annual payment to the Veronese citizen named Ribaldino.
The building you see today was built in 1807 and inside there is an antique organ, and canvases dating back to the 1600 and 1700s. The Church is dedicated to San Martino di Tours.
