Palazzo Scarpa is a modern building, now the headquarters of Banco BPM, located in the heart of the historic center.
Designed at the beginning of 1973 by the Venetian architect Carlo Scarpa with the collaboration of Arrigo Rudi and completed only in 1981, the building fits in harmony with the urban fabric, thanks to the wise use of materials, the attention to details and the human dimension of the building itself.
In the basement of Palazzo Forti, adjacent to Palazzo Scarpa, there is the Domus Romana, built at the end of the 1st century BC. and subsequently remodeled between the 2nd and 3rd centuries AD. with the addition of polychrome mosaics.
The palace can only be visited during special occasions.
