This palace, located opposite the ancient Roman remains, was designed and built by architect Luigi Trezza at the request of Marquis Giovanni Pindemonte, a leading exponent of the Veronese nobility.
The structure, built with regular and severe canons, has reddish walls with a decorative element on the top of the windows and a mask on the main porch. Inside are preserved remains of the ancient city walls, since the palace stands on the junction between the ancient Porta Leoni and the Walls of Gallieno.
The poet Ippolito Pindemonte, the most illustrious of the family, died here in 1828, as mentioned on the plaque affixed to the façade.
