Palazzo Cavalli Pasquini is an ancient palace in the historical area of Verona, now converted into an accommodation facility.
This palace is known for the details of its frescoed facade, which starting from the top, that shows a continuous frieze under the eaves with grotesques with three cherubs. In the lower part you can see the monochrome figures of "Venus with Love", "Saturn armed with scythe", "Mercury with rod and caduceus" and "Diana with bow and a crescent moon on her head".
Above the windows, placed in false niches, there are three other figures: from the left, Mars, armed with a spear, Jupiter, with lightning in his hand and Apollo the musician. Between the two windows, there are the two main scenes, "The Astrolabe" on the left, with a figure that could resemble to the Greek astronomer Claudius Ptolemy, and "the Moon" on the right.
