In the beautiful natural regional park of Lessinia you will find a road that leads you to San Bortolo di Montagna, a small village close to Selva di Progno.
In this very ancient village, it is possible to observe a very unusual tradition, the shooting of the “Trombini” (an antique weapon) which was once used, to lively animate village fairs in this area.
In the Museo dei Trombini is possible to observe particularly ancient examples of these arms, including a piece from 1911 and a Venetian exhibit which dates back to 1500. Also conserved in the museum are tools which were utilized for the construction and assembly of the trombino. Visitors, spectators to this extraordinary event, can let themselves be involved in this bizarre tradition assisted by live documentaries, full of loud reproduction noises of the “trombini”.
