Founded in 1958 as a liquor store, it has become also a bar in 1980 and offers a wide range of national and international labels. It looks like the typical old-fashioned winery: not too big, a few stools and plenty of bottles.
At the entrance there is a tufa fireplace, which is hidden behind the shelves plenty of bottles; the ceilings are characterised by the presence of well conserved sacred-theme frescos. The winery counter and the shelving from the 1980s are made of oak.
Of remarkable importance are the external elements, including the closing grating, the front door and the indoor chandelier, which have all been manufactured in wrought-iron in the 1960s in the art store of Berto from Cogollo of Tregnago.
Interesting facts: the winery is close to “Pozzo dell’Amore”, a well that has inspired an old medieval legend narrating another sad love story of two young lovers from Verona, Corrado da Bonifazio and Isabella Donati. Corrado threw himself into the well to conquer Isabella, who pretended she was not in love with him. Feeling guilt, she followed him.
Opening year: 1958
