The Domus Nova is an ancient patrician palace that makes up the frame of Piazza dei Signori, exactly in front of the Government Palace.
During the Visconti domination, this building was the home and office of the podestà, as well as being used as the home of judges (for this reason also called the Palace of Judges). Over the years it underwent several renovations, and among the various projects there was one that provided a direct passage with Piazza Erbe, now represented by the arch in the middle of the building.
It is connected through an arch to the Palazzo della Ragione on the top of which there is the statue of Enrico Noris.
