Chiesetta di San Zeno in Poia

The Church of San Zeno is on the top of the Poia hill after the road uphill for about 500 m the Fontana Vecchia, in the center of Sant'Ambrogio.

Of romanesque origin, the church was built with layers of pink limestone in the early 12th century. Inside, there are decorations with medieval frescoes depicting San Zeno and San Giorgio and a precious marble altar. On the side the bell tower with a crenellated roof is particular, with the small bell peeking out from all four mullioned windows.
