The old church of Cavalo is a religious building located in Cavalo, a hamlet of Fumane. It is located outside the town, on the road that leads to the hamlet of Monte di Sant'Ambrogio di Valpolicella.
The building is from the XV century, built on a previous church of which traces of the Romanesque period remain (the base of the bell tower, a half capital and the masonry of the northern side). The current structure depends on the renovation the result of a single nave, the door is rectangular and small and the lunette has the remains of a fresco. The bell tower, on a pre-existing Romanesque base, is low and broad in plan and should have been little earlier than the remaking of the church. It had a bell tower with two orders of mullioned windows, of which today only the north remains; the others were probably enlarged to accommodate larger bells.
Inside there is a hexagonal baptismal font in smooth marble without inscriptions from the 15th century. In the presbytery, at the entrance there are frescoes depicting San Benedetto with the Rule, while on the inside of the facade there are representations of San Zeno and San Rocco and San Sebastiano.
