The church of San Pietro (or San Peretto, as it is called by the inhabitants of the area) stands in a hilly position, surrounded by olive trees, in the homonymous hamlet of the municipality of Negrar.
It was built in the XII century in Romanesque style. It is oriented according to the traditional liturgical axis and is equipped with a beautiful bell tower built in limestone. In the second half of the 19th century it was enlarged in length and reversed in orientation.
Externally the building has a simple gabled facade. The planimetric system has a single rectangular hall, with a quadrangular presbytery raised by a step, concluded with a five-sided polygonal apse. The internal elevations are characterized by a plaster coating with a fresco decorated top band. The presbytery is introduced by a triumphal arch with three arches with a low pointed profile, which is repeated in the passage to the apse, covered with plaster and embellished with pictorial decorations. At the center of the apse wall is the altarpiece depicting "S. Pietro Apostolo", framed by a painted frame. The flooring is made of square cement tiles with polychrome geometric decorations.
