It is located in the west part of Pescantina, Arce' in a little enclosed space.
It has been mentioned for the first time in a document dated 1154. It's a church with a single nave, built in two different stages (XI-XII centuries, and halfway through the 1500s). The “gabled” face has an entrance way which goes back to the first building period, whereas the windows are from the second phase. On the southern side there is a secondary entrance whose archivolt carries a word square featuring a mysterious phrase. This has been interpreted to be a magic formula by some. The walls are laid out in a fishbone pattern with stone passageways: this is a typical ancient structure frequently seen in older examples of the Romanesque architecture of Verona.
The painted decoration is almost absent but what remains is of very important interest. The most important frescoes are located on the apse and are attributable to the circle of Altichiero da Zevio or of Guariento.
