The interiors of the shop have been renovated over the years in order to expand business. In particular, a new, more modern showroom where to test uniforms and weapons. However, elements of the original tradition remain, such as the founder's room, furnished from stuff dating back to the end of 19th Century, hand-carved iron masks and a 1910 certificate.
Next to the historical showroom, besides the tailor's shop where the uniforms are made, there is still the antique laboratory which, masterfully refitted for modern business, preserves intact workbenches, an old anvil, original vises and presses from about one century ago. Armeria Negrini is in the Botteghe Storiche register both for quality and seniority.
Interesting facts: the founder of Armeria Negrini, great-grandfather of the current owners, learnt the rudiments of his craft from a Spanish armorer. The trade secrets have been skillfully passed down from generation to generation, and this is the reason why this store once had the Italian Navy and the King's army as customers, and still has the Corps of Carabinieri and Italy's best fencers.
Opening year: 1897
