The business, founded in 1860 by Giovanni Casnici, was located in vicolo San Sebastiano 5. After about half a century a change in management occurred: the enterprise was taken over by Augusto Sacchetti, the current owner's father, and moved to the present location in via Leoni 4, maintaining the original name. The shop sells hunting equipments and accessories, weapons and ammo, technical clothing, sportswear and collectibles.
The shop has a retail space and an armored back which constitutes the weapons cache. Particularly interesting is the 1920s furniture, which includes weapon racks, showcases, cabinets and shelves.
Chests of drawers and counters are the original ones, even though some of them have been modified in order to meet the retail needs. The square tiles floor with flower arrangements dates back to 1920 as well.
Armeria Casnici is in the Botteghe Storiche register both for quality and seniority.
Interesting facts: hanging on a wall there is a frame containing copper matrixes which depict weapons and hunting accessories. Those matrixes were used in order to print catalogs, published annually starting from 1890 until the 1930s.
Opening year: 1920
