An urban walk along the historic walls, to discover the city, to listen to its voices, to experience the “new” people and places that are in reality every day before our distracted eyes. But also an opportunity for tourists to alternate a few hours in the open air with those spent in museums.
But how does it work? Going to the Tourist Office of Verona you will find the map of the itinerary and the first qr code that will make you listen to a multilingual audio track. In the following stops of the itinerary you will find the other qr codes, following the proposal of different strands of topics in succession: yellow for history and culture; blue for information and curiosity; green for nature and environment; red for sport and movement.
The route, designed for Italian and foreign tourists, as well as for citizens, starts from the IAT office in Piazza Bra, passes through Castelvecchio and then along the Adige river from the Regaste towards the basilica of San Zeno, Porta San Zeno and then the bastion of San Bernardino, Porta Palio, the bastions of Santo Spirito and of the Reformed, up to Porta Nuova and the straight of the homonymous path that brings walkers back to Piazza Bra.
The urban trekking “Parco delle Mura” is promoted by the City of Verona, in collaboration with MACA-Museo A Cielo Aperto and Minitrekking.
