Discovering the landscape of Quarries with lunch in the Plain of the Doges

The Aquae Planae Ecomuseum aims to enhance the Veronese Plain, characterized by the flow of important waterways and the evolution of different landscapes: one of these is the landscape of the Quarries. Through this tourist itinerary one can get to know this reality more closely, immersing in the wilderness and getting to know the area also from a gastronomic point of view.

Having parked your car at the Il Laghetto dei Salici restaurant, you will be guided on an excursion to discover the transformations of the Pianura landscape through the reclamation of the Bussè and Adige rivers.

You will be able to observe some hydraulic works and visit a naturalistic area of about 18 hectares with 11 former clay quarries, re-naturalized over time; the excursion will continue among century-old trees and plants to the 'embankment of the great river where a reading of its landscape will be made.

On the way back, lunch at the restaurant with river fish specialties and other peculiarities of the area.
