The elegant frame of the Antonio Girelli Hall, in the center of Verona, awaits its audience for a special evening: an event concert that will brighten the day dedicated to women with the timeless music of the most famous opera arias, a tribute to Beauty and Female Strength.
March 8th is an important date, a moment to celebrate the achievements, determination, and sensitivity of women.
Lirica Sala Girelli honors this day through music, with a concert featuring soprano, mezzo-soprano, tenor, and piano that becomes an exciting journey through the most beautiful lyrical arias.
Program:
- "Belle nuit, ô nuit d’amour" (Offenbach) – One of the sweetest celebrations of love and femininity, an ode to the night and the magic of feelings.
- "Chi il bel sogno di Doretta" (Puccini) – A dream of love and hope, a symbol of beauty and the desire for a brighter life.
- "Mon cœur s’ouvre à ta voix" (Saint-Saëns) – An intense and sensual aria, expressing the power of the female voice to enchant and move.
- "Tu qui, Santuzza" (Mascagni) – A duet of pain and strength, in which the protagonist faces her destiny with dignity and pride.
- "Brindisi" from La Traviata (Verdi) – An anthem to life, joy, and freedom, but also the song of a woman who chooses to be the mistress of her own fate.
This concert represents not only a tribute to the beauty of music but also a way to reflect on women, their life paths, the challenges they face, and the transformative power of art.
